Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and analytical finance director with strong accounting, finance, revenue cycle and management skills. This position is responsible for making sure that the finances of the company are accurate and follow all federal and state regulations while in line with the company’s goals, policies, and expectations. This will include monitoring expenditures and budgets for multiple departments and the company. The finance director will also oversee training programs and projects, working in tandem with the operations, revenue cycle, accounting, payroll, and controller.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
2. Review financial data regularly with multiple staff members and providers throughout the organization.
3. Assist payroll as needed to ensure timely and accurate payrolls are processed and all tax filings are completed.
4. Analysis of monthly financial reports to ensure data is accurate for 250+ providers.
5. Leads effective decision making through analyzing, evaluating, and communicating performance and position of entities.
6. Participate with senior management on strategic planning for the organization.
7. Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
8. Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
9. Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
10. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the company’s annual review.
11. Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the company’s 401k audit.
12. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
13. Support month-end and year-end close process.
14. Assist with subsidiaries and financial preparation for those entities
15. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Competencies:
1. Excellent management, interpersonal communication, and supervisory skills.

4. Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software. i.e. Sage and QuickBooks
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Work Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required
2. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred, not required
3. 15 years or more in healthcare management, accounting and finance required
4. 10 years or more in healthcare revenue cycle management required
5. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred, not required.
Environmental/Working Experience:
Office machinery including computers, fax, calculator, and photocopier. Occasionally lift and carry files up to 20 pounds. Work performed in office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Normal office environment. Work is typically performed at a desk or table requiring the use of standard office equipment. Intermittent sitting, standing and stooping. May view computer screen for long periods of time. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive.
