Description:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for the full functions of the HR department for Davis Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric including: Recruiting and hiring process, onboarding/offboarding staff, administering benefits and programs, consulting with leadership in all HR matters, planning staff celebrations and meetings, enforcing company policies and assisting staff and leadership with related inquiries. This position will work in a team-based environment with leadership and staff.
Essential Job Elements are as follows:
Identify future hiring needs, design job descriptions, source candidates through databases and social media, conduct interviews.
Consult and assist leadership on talent related initiatives inclusive of recruiting, performance management, employee development, recognition, and development of compensation/bonus plans providing HR best practices.
Administer benefits programs such as: health, dental, life/disability, 401(k), PTO, leave and other company benefits offered.
Responsible for maintaining accurate employee and benefit plan records and data.
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Plan and conduct new employee orientation and respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
Administer employee surveys, organize company celebrations/meetings, develop and manage recognition programs intended to build a positive work culture
Maintain a scorecard with key HR metrics to be reported to leadership.
Minimum Requirements
3-5+ years of professional HR and sourcing experience.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Superior communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to coach and influence leaders
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
Proven analytical & problem-solving skills.

Pay: $30,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
