Job Description
The Basics:
Hours: (Exempt – May Vary): 8:00 am -4:30 pm; F: 8 am – 5 pm; Rotating Sat: 8:45 am – 1:30 pm.

What you’ll do as a Branch Manager:
Hires, trains, supervise, evaluate, recognize, and discipline staff as necessary.
Promotes the credit union and aggressively encourages membership at every opportunity and represents the credit union in a professional manner at all times.
Assists members by phone and in person with their financial situations in a confidential manner and waives or refunds fees as necessary.
Performs all positions under scope of responsibility as necessary (see the appropriate job descriptions).
Ensure that all credit policies, procedures and security measures are properly followed.
Conduct presentations, overviews, workshops, training sessions, and/or vendor fairs as necessary (during and after hours).
Implement existing and new savings programs, loan programs, and other member services.
Promote credit union share draft accounts and related services such as direct deposit, periodic payment, automated clearinghouse (ACH), automated teller machine (ATM), voice response (ULTRALINE), Visa Check Card services, Remote and Mobile Deposit, Business Advantage Accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
Assist staff with guest member’s issues for Shared Branch transactions
Assist staff with Check 21 operations.
Advise members on investment opportunities to include regular share, share certificate, individual retirement accounts (IRA), and money market security accounts.
Aggressively promote the credit union’s loan accounts and assist members with applications and ensure a timely response according to policies and guidelines.
Secure the branch office at the end of the day and acts as primary contact for security calls.
Understand role as a role model and mentor staff to achieve their sales goals. Demonstrate in depth knowledge of credit union, credit union organizational values, credit union products and services, credit union mission statement, credit union purpose and credit union five-year vision.
Reduce barriers that impede staff sales and service efforts.
Assist Executive Vice President, Vice President, Loan, Collection, and/or Accounting Departments in a timely manner when requested.
Provide support to Marketing Director as required.
Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 45 days of employment.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Previous Financial Institution experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in individual and group settings.
Knowledge of investments and loan products preferred.
Must work accurately and possess good organizational skills.
Should be willing to attend after hour and weekend community related activities as required.
Possess good organizational skills.
Nice to Haves:
Associates degree or 60 college hours in business related field.
Previous supervisory experience.
Bilingual (Spanish).
