Finance Manager
A mid-sized Government Contractor is seeking a Finance Manager to provide senior-level support to the Corporate Controller and overall management of the company’s accounting and financial activities. This professional will serve as trusted-advisor to the Program Leadership team and provide financial guidance as needed. Duties include timely completion of financial summaries, projections for financial health, and collaborate with the Accounting Manager to coordinate audits of books and records.

responsibilities:
? Manage the accounting operations to include optimizing internal controls and processes to achieve department & objectives and available resources efficiently.
? Ensure all general accounting functions, including the general ledger and financial close processes, cost accounting and accounting operations consisting of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and intangibles depreciation and amortization are accurate and in accordance with GAAP, FAR. Design and implement new practices where necessary.
? Serve as trusted-business partner to Program Leadership, sound business acumen to balance financial decisions that drive profitability with outstanding client satisfaction. Monitor monthly contract profitability. Coordinate corrective action where necessary.
? Report monthly and annual financial position and progress, and contract financial information and analyses.
? Prepare annual Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA).
? Complete and submit timely annual incurred cost submissions to cognizant audit agency.
? Lead activities with external auditors and reviewers, and preparation of required items.
? Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures, and internal control systems.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
qualifications:
? A Bachelor’s in Accounting and/or Finance is required.
? Government contracting accounting experience in a cost-reimbursable contract environment strongly preferred.
? Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR and CAS.
This position is based in the Wash DC area and allows for a flexible, hybrid work schedule.
Salary is $110,000 – 130,000 + bonus + benefits
