Happy Chef Uniforms Looking for Foodservice National Account Manager at United States Full Time

The role of the National Account Manager is to develop and pursue new business opportunities within the Non-Commercial Foodservice sector and drive growth of existing Contract Foodservice business. The NAM is responsible for driving new business development initiatives, attracting and securing new Non-Commercial Foodservice accounts, and expanding wallet share from existing Foodservice Management customers.

This multi-industry/vertical role will manage our Contract Foodservice Management customers from the headquarters level down. We are seeking someone that will have a proven track record of building programs with national Foodservice Management customers. The right candidate is entrepreneurial with a successful track record of quickly establishing partnership value that results in new business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving revenue and exceeding sales targets within the Non-Commercial Foodservice sector.
• Develop and manage the Foodservice national accounts business, both existing and prospective.
• Acquisition of new Foodservice Management accounts and GPOs – Leverage your existing network of industry decision makers to make initial contact and present Happy Chef’s value proposition.
• Lead the contract negotiations with national group purchasing organizations and/or cooperatives.
• Build extensive pipeline of prospects.
• Increase revenue in current customer base by identifying and maximizing whitespace opportunities with existing Contract Foodservice Management customers.
• Drive account growth by improving participation, purchasing activities and account penetration with existing Food Service Management accounts.
• Strengthen existing customer relationships and establish new ones via highly effective wiring—up and across the organization through analysis, networking, outreach and follow up; actively re-engaging and rebuilding past partnerships.
• Identify customer purchasing patterns, perform customer sales history analysis, and gather data to determine the needs of customer operations to exploit all major sales opportunities with the Contract Management Companies assigned.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key Food Service Management accounts to understand potential spend and future opportunities while growing account volume.
• Gather, create, and maintain key insight for all assigned accounts including key contacts, correspondence, size of business, product/category risks & opportunities; calendar / timing and potential hurdles. Create and communicate monthly performance and key metric scorecard for assigned accounts. Maintain updated account records of sale activities, including progress toward sales targets and goals. Report to leadership team on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience selling to Foodservice Management accounts. Proven success in account management sales and generating new business within the Non-Commercial Food Service channel.
• Channel development experience – relationships and proven success with Foodservice Management groups and GPOs, spanning multiple years, preferably selling similar products. Deep understanding of the different purchasing branches within the FSMs.
• Experience selling to or working at a national GPO or cooperative.
• Experience selling program accounts.
• Understanding of our products as well as how to sell the Happy Chef brand.
• Ability to provide key reporting and analysis as it relates to a variety of key performance indicators and account performance metrics weekly and ad hoc as required.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
