Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. Looking for Consultant or Senior Consultant for Expense Planning & Insights at Schaumburg, Illinois Full Time

Zurich is looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant for Expense Planning & Insights to join our Zurich North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. 
 

This role will have the opportunity to work on key projects that use expense data to drive effective strategic and operational decision-making. The consultant will partner with one or more of our Functions to provide timely expense reporting, forecasting and insights. This is a great opportunity to sharpen problem-solving and influencing skills, while engaging with a variety of senior ZNA stakeholders.
 

This role will be filled at either the Consultant or Senior Consultant level.  The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Key Accountabilities of the position include: 
 

• Contributing to Function planning, budget, accounting, and providing expense reporting and analysis to Function leadership
• Building scenario analyses and communicating impact of plan sensitivities
• Serving as trusted thought partner with Finance leadership on strategic, ZNA-level projects (e.g., financial target setting, forecast driver trends, expense allocations)
• Developing ExCo presentations, and synthesizing performance drivers and trends
• Delivering on Group reporting requirements
• Conducting competitive analysis to determine expense trends in the industry and marketplace

Basic Qualifications for this role are as follows:

Consultant: 
 

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting, Finance, Strategy, or Operations areas
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Completion of Zurich Finance Development Program, including a Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with 4 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
   

Preferred Qualifications: 
 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to solve complex problems and provide actionable solutions
• Ability to analyze financial statements and quantitative data
• Strong Microsoft Office experience
   

Senior Consultant: 
 

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
  OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Accounting or Finance area
   

 Preferred Qualifications: 
 

• Insurance industry experience
• Experience with planning/forecasting models and Power BI or other visualization / scorecard tools
• Project management experience
• CPA, CPCU, CFA or CTP
