The Central FP&A team is on the front line of Zillow Group’s corporate financial planning, so you will work on some of the company’s highly visible projects and serve a diverse set of stakeholders. The team is responsible for partnership across FP&A, Accounting, and Financial Reporting teams to lead financial planning, reporting, and reporting processes to drive strategic decisions via Anaplan. Zillow Group is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Central Financial Planning and Analysis team! Partnering closely with teams across FP&A and the business, you’ll project manage and complete enhancements, overhauls, and ongoing maintenance of the Anaplan financial planning system. This is a great opportunity to be part of the FP&A team and build impactful finance processes for providing effective, comprehensive, and consistent analysis over the health and performance of the company. This highly visible role requires a proactive and meticulous candidate with a consistent track record of encouraging relationships across functions and levels, allowing for the opportunity to engage with leaders on a regular basis.
In this role you will:
Lead the ongoing expansion and maintenance of the financial planning system, Anaplan. Including analyzing, designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and training
Implement a project management and prioritization process for system maintenance and enhancements, using a portion of analysts’ time from across FP&A
Optimize FP&A’s ability to scale with Zillow’s growth by identifying and implementing processes and analytics across planning and management reporting
Cultivate trust and collaboration with key stakeholders through regular communications on roadmap timing and prioritization across FP&A, Accounting, and FinTech to ensure fidelity of data inputs, outputs, and views
Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the forecasting process
As a member of the Central FP&A team, you’ll be part of the consolidation and management reporting process and will be involved in conversations around Zillow’s products and strategies
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $120,100.00 – $191,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
6+ years of experience at a high growth company with experience in Project managing and performing system implementations, enhancements, or maintenance. Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning duties either supporting a business unit or in a corporate FP&A function required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Anaplan model architecture, design, build, testing, maintenance, and end-user training. Anaplan Solution Architect certified or on the path to be soon
Passionate about continuous improvement and providing business partners with inventive, scalable solutions
Applies excellent judgment and has a prove ability to prioritize, own, and lead multiple tasks and projects
Understanding of basic GAAP to translate accounting treatment to forecast projections
Public company experience desirable
