We have an exceptional opportunity for a Manager of FP&A at our St. Petersburg, FL or Atlanta, GA location where you would play a key role at a well-established Private Equity (PE)-backed healthcare technology growth company.
Zelis Finance team is focused on being the analytical backbone of the company by providing financial modeling, fact-based analyses and interpretation of key business drivers and strategic insights from a financial point of view.
Success in this role means you have empowered you and your colleagues to deliver a more accurate forecast, perform more advanced scenario analyses, and better support analytical-based decision making throughout the enterprise.

To be successful in this role, you have a minimum of 5 years of operating company financial leadership in a PE or public company environment, and the ability to understand the business drivers, key people and critical functions necessary to drive business outcomes.
At the same time, you are fully aware of the importance of strategic thinking and the ability to think and act quickly. You accomplish this by partnering with your team and Company leadership to analyze existing and ad hoc data, create and present financial models using analytics to support recommendations, identifying opportunities for efficiencies / cost avoidance.
You are able to leverage technology and data by being proficient in navigating financial systems to support the Finance organization as both a leader, manager and individual contributor.
Critical Skills & Responsibilities
What will this involve?
Provide day-to-day financial team management and FP&A leadership, including as a resource for certain operational activities;
collaborate with business unit and enterprise accounting teams; act as a partner with leadership to appropriately continue to scale the Finance team and the business for growth
Help the organization continue to evolve to the “next level” by continuously re-evaluating and implementing a professional metric-driven culture by linking financial management with operating functions and two-way information sharing;
ensure functional / departmental managers are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements
Participate in, review and continuously improve the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly financial close and related financial and operational reporting
Leadership role regarding financial and operating budget and forecasting process, and partnering to understand and track the business unit’s capital expenditures budget (particularly regarding new product and software development)
Mature thinker with strong communication and presentation skills; experience interacting with business unit clients in presenting ideas and opportunities supported by fact-based data and decisions
Possesses deep financial and related systems expertise to scale financial systems
Develop methods and recommendations to streamline process
Challenge the status quo and current interpretations of data based on the results of advanced analytically based conclusions

Leadership Activities :
Acts in a leadership capacity as the lead support for a critical business unit team; ability to interact with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) level and demonstrate confidence in working with all constituents
Keeps key constituents (including Business Unit President, Enterprise CFO, Business Unit CFO, SVP Enterprise FP&A, and other Business Unit leaders) apprised of efforts and is comfortable speaking up
Proactive leader with drive for success; results driven
Communication Skills :
Ability to effectively work with internal and external leaders across a wide range of staff and management positions and functional groups
Effectively communicates with others by giving and receiving feedback
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Actively participates in meetings, takes lead role in analytical presentations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred; MBA and / or CPA a plus
Minimum of 5+ years relevant operating company financial experience or similar
Prior PE or public company experience preferred
Prior analytical experience within the healthcare industry a plus
Demonstrated / referenceable strong financial and analytical skills a must
Innovative thinking; ability to work effectively cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Exceptional PC skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) required; Familiarity managing / utilizing data from financial management systems strongly preferred
