Williamsburg Landing, a 5-star CARF-accredited life plan community, seeks a Full-Time Accounts Payable Coordinator. Under the direction and guidance of the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Coordinator provides accounting and administrative support by ensuring that vendor payments are accurately coded and posted to the general ledger in an efficient, timely manner. This position also assists in the monthly closing of the general ledger and subsequent preparation of the financial statements by segment of operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of advanced accounting or work experience required; or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties; intermediate to advanced computer literacy of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite; detail oriented with accurate data entry skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to give presentations; post-secondary level coursework in accounting or business administration is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of accounting theory and practice for non-profits; a general understanding of a chart of accounts, trial balance and balance sheet; ability to foster professional working relationships with teammates, the community, and regulatory officials; ability to work independently as well as part of a team while exercising sound business judgment
