We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Mississippi/Louisiana Timberlands (MSLA) Region in Hattiesburg, MS or Brookhaven, MS. You will be a key member of the MSLA lead team and the Southern Timberlands finance team.
The Southern Timberlands finance team is dynamic and well-respected. The team has a strong reputation, established and maintained by knowledgeable team members who deliver financial analysis and results to our stakeholders. We are focused on your personal and career development, giving you opportunities to see all aspects of Weyerhaeuser’s financial and operational environments and gain the skills necessary to advance to different roles throughout the company. You will be a key contributor that supports our businesses and functions. Your role will be responsible for providing oversight and responsibility for the finance and planning function of the MSLA Timberlands region, while providing key analysis and recommendations to leaders and decision makers. This role requires occasional business travel for meetings, training and development.

In this role, your essential functions will be to:
Lead and perform budgeting and forecasting responsibilities in conjunction with operational personnel and corporate direction, including maintenance of related information in the company’s ERP system.
Analyze monthly financial results, including detailed variance reviews.
Communicate regularly with local and divisional lead teams on progress towards quarter and annual targets and provide recommendations for future actions needed.
Participate as a key member of the regional leadership team, as well as being a finance representative supporting a business division or segment functional lead team.
Support and collaborate with division, cross-division, and other business peers, including Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Internal Audit departments.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize tasks to create efficient workflows to meet deadlines.
Provide internal control training and oversight to business partners
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of a Forestry-related degree + MBA
Five years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or forestry operations
Excellent PC skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
