About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst to join the Wells Fargo Finance Team. This team reports on the financial data for financial and economic analysis, forecasting and evaluating trends in sales, finance, and other areas of the business.
In this role, you will:
As a key member of the Finance Service Center team, you will support the development and implementation of the Governance & Control framework for the Finance Hierarchy maintenance function working in partnership with other Finance, Controller and cross-functional teams as appropriate.
Lead complex initiatives on matters related to research and improving process efficiencies.
Lead efforts around next generation system enhancements specific to Finance Service Center activities and coordinate enterprise-wide transition
Research strategies and make recommendations for enhancing partner experiences.
Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Review procedures, practically applying learnings from quality assurance reviews to enhance documentation.
Document end-to-end process flows and procedures including dependencies, controls, inputs/outputs, gap identification, etc.
Provide compliance expertise and potential solutions to identified gaps and associated risks as applicable.
Monitor, track and evaluate effectiveness of controls through quality review of process.
Monitor changes in control environment, evaluate control design, and revise controls to ensure we have appropriate coverage and alignment with policies and guiding principles.
Required Qualifications, US:
A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
Experience with governance and oversight requirements including risk assessments.
5 + years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of a control environment including documentation, implementation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Strong critical thinking skills with ability to credibly challenge status quo; experience with continuous improvement of application control testing processes and results.
Experience with AU general ledger maintenance, posting of manual journal entries and corresponding control processes.
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
