Position Details:
CAHNRS has approximately $200M in expenditures per year and around 1,300 faculty and staff. The CAHNRS Finance and Administration Personnel (CFAP) team members are responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and facilitating the personnel portion of these expenditures which is at least 80% of the $200M.The accuracy of this effort is material to WSU Financial Statements and its annual reporting of GAAP as well as The Washington State Auditor’s office work with federal, performance, legal compliance, and risk-based audits.
Summary of Duties:
Provide college-level coordination, review, and pre-approval of personnel, payroll, and position management actions within CAHNRS as assigned. This position is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of professional financial and policy reviews and analysis of all CAHNRS personnel actions, including funding, salary values, personnel requests, preparing reports, and troubleshooting. The position will also assist in leading, assigning work, and assessing the CAHNRS Finance and Administration fiscal staff. Specifically providing supervision/oversight of day-to-day work duties and assisting the CAHNRS Finance and Personnel Supervisor in providing guidance, support, and training to CAHNRS Departmental staff. This position demonstrates a strict level of confidentiality in all matters.
Required Qualifications:
Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college-level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements:
Strong demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Experience working with PERMS, TEMPS, DEPPS, OPDRS, Data Warehouse
Experience working with fiscal records, reports, and data
