Manager – Crew Optimization

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager – Crew Optimization will be responsible for developing monthly pilot and flight attendant work and flying schedules to crew proposed commercial flight schedules.
The Manager – Crew Optimization will work closely with the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President of Technical Operations, and Operations Department Heads to provide necessary input to the development and approval of flight schedules that satisfy commercial and operational constraints.
The Manager – Crew Optimization will prepare and run crew bidding process whereby pilots and flight attendants will be able to bid on monthly work and flying schedules based upon seniority and positions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build crew (pilot and flight attendant) bid lines for future months based upon flight schedules, 14 CFR 121.117 regulations, and target crew utilization values
Forecast capabilities of crews versus block hour requirements
Perform flight schedule vs crew bid line scenario analysis to evaluate trade-offs of flight schedule vs crew utilization
Load all crew schedules into the company software programs
Work closely with the Director of Operations, Director of Flight Standards and Training, the Director of Inflight, and the Manager of Recruiting on crew availability and training output and plan accordingly to maximize block hour capabilities
Assist Manager of Crew Services and Crew Training Coordinator as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, training or adult learning or related field.
At least 3 years previous crew planning and scheduling experience.
At least 1 year management and supervisory experience.
Good communication skills (written and oral).
Computer literacy and strong Microsoft office skills.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Preferred:
Previous 121 pilot experience
COMPENSATION:
Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with applicant’s experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
