Senior Manager, Operations Finance
Job Description

Then, we have a Senior Manager role in Sam’s Club Operations Finance that is just for you.
The successful candidate will be comfortable in both an analytics and decision support role analyzing the portfolio, while working on a variety of ad-hoc analyses and projects that are business critical each day. In addition, this candidate will love to dive in and enhance and govern our operational tools and reports that leadership reviews regularly.
You’ll make an impact by:
Managing Operations Leadership Financial Tools & Reporting – Own, prepare, and govern key PowerBI reports for the field, sharing insights that are actionable, and uncovering trends or new ways of viewing the key business financials.
Developing Portfolio Management Insights: Identify key business themes across the chain in partnership with all 7 Regional Vice Presidents to drive significant insights and business outcomes to Sam’s. Key projects could include market deep dives, membership insights, operational process improvements, store capability enhancements, etc.
Leading and Presenting Operational Projects – Drive appropriate support, partnership, and sizing of ad-hoc business cases, strategic initiatives (i.e.: Xcelerator), etc. Provide strategic input for business decisions by overseeing the production of complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; prepare presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area.
4+ years’ experience in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area
2 years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
2 years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1 year’s experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
