We are looking for a strategic and tactical Finance Director. The Finance Director is the leader of the finance function for the Joint Venture between S&W Seed Company and Shell plc. This role is responsible for the financial health and activities of the organization. You’ll play a key role in the management of the business by ensuring quality financial reporting and compliance and delivering insightful analysis to support performance management of the business. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues and functional stakeholders to ensure processes are executed efficiently and to a high standard and support continual improvement agenda in a rapidly growing business.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics (Master’s Degree a plus) and eight to ten years of experience in a senior level financial management position. The candidate must have experience leading financial budgeting and financial planning processes and a proven track record in successfully supporting growth using strong analytical skills and effective financial modeling and tracking. Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills is a must. Knowledge of deal making; experience negotiating agreements with third parties. Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance- related issues. Solid understanding of financial compliance requirements and experience implementing and managing financial policies.
