The Project Manager expedites organizational & network success by managing strategic, cross functional projects throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager is a trusted member of the project team and contributes to stakeholder alignment by applying Lean, Design Thinking, & Change Management best practices.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Mind the details to proactively anticipate, address, and clarify project dependencies and issues while adhering to Virtuoso’s core values.
- Work with a respect for people and continuous improvement mindset
- Drive integrated project timelines and ensure all key milestones and due dates are communicated frequently to the larger internal project team and partners.
- Anticipate and mange potential blockers across concept development, production, and delivery phases; flag to appropriate partners and proactively find solutions
- Collaborate with business partners to support the rollout of processes, as needed, to ensure success, with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency and operational excellence
- Monitor progress and initiate actions to meet project milestones, timelines, specifications and requirements.
- Investigate information on a given question or problem to establish facts, reach conclusions and summarize findings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform data analyses, articulates findings and propose solutions when needed.
- Acts as a trusted advisor for the project team and business sponsor. Helps your project stakeholders to explore and understand project (and potential wider business) challenges, establishes and maintains trust by effectively addressing the team concerns and advocating for its needs.
- Develops understanding of the industry, as of your business partner’s strategy and objectives to guide proper prioritization.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies or equivalent work experience
- PMP certification preferred
- 4 years’ experience in project management or administrative profession
- Understand the complexities of handling a range of projects, for different partners with impacts on global operations
- Creative, organized and disciplined
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong collaboration skills/interpersonal communication
- Time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Travel Requirements:
- Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events. (1-3 trips per year)
- Travel will be entirely domestic.
Type/Nature of Contacts:
- External: There is almost no contact outside of Virtuoso staff. Position is primarily internal facing.
- Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with managers outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department
