The wider North America finance team consist of approximately 30 finance colleagues, of which the five is the COO Finance team.
Responsibilities
The Finance Director is responsible for ensuring objective and transparent financial support for policy makers, primarily the Regional COO, by delivering financial reporting and analysis on activities across all Vestas focusing on the factories in the region including new footprint analysis, Global Procurement, Transport and Supply Chain. Once a year this also includes supporting the regional COO management team in developing or refreshing the 3–5-year strategy for the North America region.
The Finance Director is expected to develop the Finance team in the region, as well as the existing reporting and financial processes within the area. It is also expected that the Finance Director will take a position in more project related activities within the manufacturing footprint in the region as well as improving the stability and forecasting of the regional transport costs and supply chain.
Consolidate, examine and report monthly, quarterly and yearly COO performance reports
Perform various financial analysis
Ad hoc financial support to the business
Own and encourage footprint and total landed costs (TLC) analysis
Support continuous improvement of business processes
Own and define the Budget and Forecast process within COO Finance in the region
Qualifications
6-8+ years of experience within Financial Controlling/Performance Management/Finance Leadership positions• Relevant Master’s degree in Finance, Auditing, Business Economics or equivalent• Solid experience working in a matrix, i.e. solid stakeholder management skills• A documented history of effectively implementing financial processes and reports
Fluent in speaking and writing in English
Creative presentation skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages in a simple manner
