Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct a daily review and month reconciliation of all banking transactions
- Assist, prepare and review accruals, journal entries and reconciliation for general ledger accounts for month, quarter, and year-end closings
- Calculate monthly commission and royalty statements
- Prepare daily Gross Profit and weekly Sales spreadsheets
- Calculate daily consumption coverage
- Communicate extensively with Operations as well as Parent company finance
- AP & AR balance management
- Make bank deposits
- Update costs in ERP system
- Assist Human Resources department with open enrollment, new hire benefit information entry, and other payroll functions
- Assist with inventory reporting
- Assist with audits, forecasting and budgeting
- Assist with physical inventory counts
- Assist accounting staff as needed
- Ad hoc reporting and duties
Job Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work both individually and in team setting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced busy environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- At least 5 years’ experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.)
- Sage knowledge is preferred
