Diversicare is currently seeking a seasoned Vice President of Accounting/Controller.

As the Vice President of Accounting / Controller you will assume a pivotal role in steering the financial integrity and compliance of our organization. You will be entrusted with overseeing meticulous monthly financial reviews, establishing robust controls, and delivering accurate reports. Your contributions will reinforce our adherence to financial accounting standards, legal regulations, while upholding the sanctity of our internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Control Systems and Financial Reporting: Spearhead the continuous evolution, implementation, and maintenance of accounting control systems and financial reporting protocols. Your adeptness at establishing resilient internal controls will play a pivotal role.
• Financial Statement Consolidation and Analysis: Direct the preparation and analysis of multiple monthly consolidated financial statements, ensuring adherence to deadlines, accuracy, and transparency. Your experience in this realm will be pivotal in delivering insightful reporting for organizational leadership.
• Reserve Management and Policy Adherence: Oversee the soundness of reserves and ensure unwavering adherence to policies governing Bad Debt, Medical, Work Comp, PL/GL, and Vacation.
• Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate in shaping financial strategies, policies, and management objectives that fortify organizational growth and sustainability.
• Audit Excellence: Forge close partnerships with external audit firms to ensure the timely completion of annual audits, spanning financial, 401k, and Single Audits. Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical finesse will underpin audit accuracy.
• Accounts Payable Oversight: Exercise vigilant oversight over the Accounts Payable department, guaranteeing timely vendor disbursements and accurate account query resolutions.
• Cash Management Stewardship : Deliver pivotal support in managing the Treasury function, facilitating judicious cash transfers, and nurturing constructive banking relationships.
• Budgeting Collaboration : Partner with the CFO and VP of FP&A to architect multi-site nursing facility overhead budgets and steer the annual budgeting process.
• Project Management and Prioritization: Extend your support to the CFO by actively engaging in multiple designated projects aimed at enhancing the organization’s financial vitality while managing competing priorities.
• Team and Departmental Leadership: Serve as a leader in the finance and accounting department, facilitating growth and development among the Diversicare financial professionals, and demonstrating valuable contributions to the CFO and organizational leadership.

Your proven proficiency in financial management will be complemented by your commitment to excellence, ideally demonstrated through a CPA designation.
