Experience: Seven (7) to nine (9) years’ experience in administrative, financial, and management work (preferably within an academic research environment) with four (4) years of direct supervisory experience. Work experience must include contract and grant accounting/management, proposal submission, accounting using Priority Software BA. Prior supervisor experience or experience in purchasing and travel administration required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of university and federal accounting, travel, and procurement regulations, payroll and benefits administration, and audit requirements; ability to work in ELF, BA4, PHR and Kuali systems; strong computer skills including use of a variety of campus electronic programs; demonstrated ability to communicate in person, over the phone, and via written correspondence; ability to multitask; proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of software; ability to work with a variety of personalities and maintain confidential information, use good judgment and exercise discretion in sensitive matters; possesses analytical skills; ability to work independently in a busy office with frequent interruptions; ability to handle a large volume of work in a efficient manner. Flexible, service oriented, accepts change, and maintains a broad perspective; ability to work additional hours as needed to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.
