The Capital Asset Accounting (CAA) Division of the Accounting & Financial Reporting unit is responsible for managing the financial aspects of capital assets and plant projects, a total book value of over $3 billion. CAA also manages the acquisition, tracking, and disposition of capital assets for the campus, UC Davis Center, and System wide locations (including DANR). This position performs an array of essential services throughout the life cycle of a capital project.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Division Manager, manage major capital projects, (projects with costs over $750,000, generally funded by several different types of funding sources, and taking multiple years to complete). Establish and maintain plant funds and accounts, appropriate the budget, monitor budget overdrafts, reconcile and review monthly project expenditures, and prepare projects for semi-annual capitalization. Assist with financial management of the UC Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) capital accounts and plant projects. Assist with the semi-annual financial closing and reporting of capital assets.
