About the role
The Strategic Partner Manager, Private Equity is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing partners and developing strategies to increase revenue through partnerships. This person will identify new opportunities, build partnerships, and collaborate with internal teams like Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively to develop Tropic’s partner program, focusing on our referral channel of private equity and venture capital firms, financial institutions, and consulting firms. This person is eager to join an early-stage rocketship and thrives on building relationships, navigating ambiguity, and setting the foundation for growth.
As a Strategic Partner Manager, Private Equity, you will
Own, lead, and grow Tropic’s partner referral portfolio of private equity and venture capital firms, financial institutions, and consulting firms.
Identify relevant organizations that are strategically well-positioned to accelerate Tropic’s growth
Engage new partners to expand the Tropic partner network
Negotiate attractive partnership deals and ensure mutually beneficial partnership terms that are in line with business objectives and strategy
Maintain and deepen relationships with existing partners by creating a framework and process to scale the value for Tropic and our partners
Develop and execute partner engagement strategies to drive revenue
Educate partners on new product offerings, promotions, and product updates
Enable partners to properly position Tropic in the market, ensuring partners contribute to pipeline generation in order to achieve defined targets
Establish metrics to measure ROI from and performance of partnerships
Collaborate with partners on new content marketing initiatives
Represent Tropic at various events, meetups, and trade shows
Stay on top of industry trends and new practices to enhance program process and maintain overall competitiveness within the marketplace
You will be a match for this role if you
Have 5-8 years relevant experience, especially in partnerships
Have an understanding of private equity, VC, consulting landscape
Have connections into the PE, VC, consulting networks
Have strong relationship management skills
Have demonstrated results driving business impact
