Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Accounting and Finance Department (A&F) is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Corporate Financial Reporting Manager.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, the person in this role will lead three team members to deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful reporting to internal stakeholders and Toyota Motor Corporation.
The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with relevant regulatory pronouncements, accounting research, controls, and system implementations.
What you’ll be doing
Oversee the preparation of the annual audited financial statements, and the implementation of accounting pronouncements to ensure an unqualified opinion.
Oversee the preparation of the semi-annual BOD financials and work closely with finance to deliver the reports to TMNA and TMC executives.
Possess knowledge of multiple accounting standards and Toyota’s business to oversee the compilation and submission of financial results of TMS, TMNA, TEMA, and certain NAMCs to TMC (CONETS).
Manage the monthly financial close tasks for TMS, TMNA, TEMA, and certain NAMCs to meet reporting deadlines.
Perform review and oversight on the CONETS reporting of intercompany transactions (over $100B).
Coordinate communication with TMC on CONETS reporting across North America.
A major participant in the TEMA consolidation project.
Review 48 government reports submitted on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Work closely with AA and Finance to prepare North America Auto (TMNA Combined) Operating Income Analysis and present results to executive management.
Work closely with Internal and External audits in providing PBC and resolving questions in a timely manner.
Prepare ad hoc presentations and materials to be shared with executive management.
Lead the quarterly meeting with TMC.
Update the financial reporting policies and present them to executive management.
Oversee the performance and career development of 3 professionals.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation.
Demonstrated financial reporting experience.
Broad knowledge of consolidation, foreign currency, and application of US GAAP.
Supervisory/management experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Added bonus if you have
SEC reporting experience.
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience.
Sarbanes Oxley Experience.
