The US Tax team is building to work with other corporate functions on tax advisory, planning, structuring, and tax controversy. We ensure compliance with direct (corporate income tax) and indirect tax (sales and use tax and property tax) and solve tax related issues.

Position Summary:
TikTok is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Tax Manager to join the Tax team to support its rapid business growth globally. The ideal candidate has experience in providing tax solutions for TMT products, e.g. Digital services, digital products, e-commerce, etc, and possesses strong technical skills, in order to work seamlessly together with colleagues in multiple departments (e.g. Legal, Finance) to support our business teams to develop comprehensive and practical tax solutions in multiple tax jurisdictions globally.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting business team to perform tax assessment for new products, develop efficient and compliant tax solutions in the designated jurisdictions, as well as maintain the tax consistency among different jurisdictions for the same product in the group level.
• Coordinate with regional/country tax manager, to share latest business updates and develop specific tax solutions together with local team.
• Periodically review the business model and tax solutions for existing products in the group, and monitor the tax risk if exists.
• Monitor the change and update of tax legislation, identify potential tax impact and provide tax solutions to the business team in advance to ensure tax compliance. Providing tax training or tax updates to related business teams.
• Response to daily tax enquires from business team or clients, business partners.

Qualifications

• At least 8+ years of experience in tax practice
• Industry experience in a multinational company or Big 4 firm experience
• Experience in indirect taxes( VAT/GST/SUT) of the digital economy and e-commerce, is a big plus.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $79429 – $184224 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
