Accountant 2 (Accounts Payable) Position Summary

The Accountant 2 performs financial duties relative to Accounts Payable. This position will maintain, review and process invoices, as well as utility vendor accounts to ensure timely payment. The accountant 2 will also perform payment processing responsibilities, account reconciliation and provide support to the Accountant 1 with resolution issues. The Accountant 2 must fully understand 1099 reporting requirements, as they will be expected to participate in an annual 1099 reporting process. This position will also perform contract reviews and maintenance, as well as support and resolution, for AP related items and customers. The Accountant 2 performs interim and month end accrual, reconciliation, and correction functions and will participate in conversions and upgrades of systems.

Accountant 2 (Accounts Payable) Position Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting required.

Experience

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in accounting preferred.
• Experience in personal computers/ spreadsheets highly preferred.

Accountant 2 (Accounts Payable) Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday. Overtime and possible weekend work as required. May work holidays.

• At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
