Finance Manager, Technology Finance
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and intellectually curious Finance Manager to support the Technology organization. The Finance Manager, Technology Finance primary role will be to partner with complex and highly visible areas of the business and/or work in support of initiatives aligned with the Company’s strategy and focus areas. This role requires a self-starter with strong business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail and good track record of influencing business partners. To be successful, the candidate would need to dive deep to understand the industry, finance and business complexities and delivers results by building trust and good working relationship with cross-functional business partners, including Technology, Finance, Accounting, and Business Unit teams. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.
The primary purpose of this role is to partner with complex and highly visible areas of the business and/or work in support of initiatives aligned with the Company’s strategy and focus areas. This is accomplished by cross-functional collaboration to convert complex business plans and team through capital and expense planning, capitalization enhancement, monthly financial close cycle, financial reporting, and ensuring we are delivering the right analyses to meet our financial commitments.
Primary purpose and responsibilities of the Finance Manager, Technology Finance includes:
Business Partnership: This role is business facing and the candidate must have the ability to influence and interact with senior leaders across the company, building and maintaining rapport with the senior leaders and their teams. The Finance Manager will be the financial subject matter expert (SME) and ‘right hand person’ to senior leadership within Technology. Along with relationship building the role will require cross-functional collaboration, spanning across the different Finance functions along with numerous business units in support of their Technology partners, to convert complex business plans into quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans (2-3 years).
Business Case: Focus areas are developing business cases to assess existing and incremental investment health – creating robust financial models, tied to a program’s (or initiative’s) strategic narrative; identifying risks and opportunities to the organization and engaging the business owners in risk mitigation and trade-off conversations; and providing proactive analysis, insights, and recommendations to optimize business performance.
Simplify financial management: Assess new opportunities to drive simplification, automation by finding best in class tools to scale or adapt. Be a change agent, by defining new ways of developing financial reporting solutions internally and externally, develop relationships and craft a collaborative work environment with diverse business touchpoints, strive for continuous process improvement, and contain the innate ability to show courage and take action.

Technical Astuteness: have strong knowledge of financial and business analytics principles, and the ability to leverage a matrixed environment to manage projects and analyses to completion by leveraging talent across Finance and other business areas.
Organizational Agility: Interactions required with executives, peers, vendors, and Business Unit teams, product development, operations, procurement, and finance
Process Improvement: Proactive identification of issues and opportunities related to technology expense management across a wide range of systems and layers of technology
Metrics-based Management: Collaborate with business units and other groups to define, measure, and track key metrics and develop action plans for ensuring that we meet OKRs
Education and Experience Required/Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred
6+ years’ experience in Finance or Accounting related role
Solid financial and analytical skills, ability to communicate across the organization and manage multiple, competing projects and priorities
Aptitude and inclination to partner with business units that have a relationship orientation and corporate analytical functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to build trust with senior leaders
Self-driven, people leader who holds self and team to a high standard of quality and commitment to value-add
Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
Ability to learn company’s in-house financial systems (TM1, PeopleSoft, Apptio)
