POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) role will oversee all Operational aspects across the Company’s 8 facilities as well as HSSE, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Engineering functions. The COO will partner with the CEO, CFO, and CCO as well as the leaders of Quality and Human Resources to drive growth and excellence in all aspects of the business.
The COO will be capable of learning the business quickly and getting intimately familiar with the Company’s technology and product flow through its several facilities. The early focus will be on leveraging scale to drive profitability at its midwestern plant, which is the Company’s largest revenue contributor. This individual will be expected to spend time across all facilities building relationships and rapport with the leadership and site teams. Additionally, this individual will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to develop a strong training program based on the established digital metrics/KPIs foundation.
This individual will be successful in twelve months if s/he understands the business with a commercial orientation. S/he will also be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, bringing an operational perspective to strategy planning and opportunity assessment. This individual will work closely with his/her peers across all functions. Plants will be executing at targeted efficiency levels, delivering financial results as planned. Additionally, while this individual has limited control over revenue generation, s/he will have control over the efficiency and profitability s/he is able to drive out of each plant.

COMPENSATION
Compensation will be market-based and competitive; it will include a base salary, performance-based bonus, and meaningful equity interest.
