Accounting Bookkeeper

As Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for producing financial reports for a portfolio of associations. You will build relationships with the community managers and accounting support staff, providing guidance and clarity with regards to association finances.
Responsibilities
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Perform month end closing to include preparation and review of monthly financial statements
- Properties Financials
- Send Cash Balances Weekly for Approval
- Budget, Changes to Financials, misc.
- Write Off Bad Debt
- Turn over to PDM for Collection
- Review and Post Payables
- Cut checks for all payables
- Enter journal entries into accounting system, as necessary
- Be present for financial conference calls (Google meet, Zoom, etc.)
- Fund Credit Cards for Team members with Approval
- Pay all investor payments
- Give a reno tracker for all renovations
- Process with ADP and fund payroll account
- Enter & Pay Mortgages
- Create journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Produce monthly financial reports
- Assist managers with accounting questions
- Assist with annual audits and reviews
- Organize and submit tax forms
- Process some accounts receivables
Requirements
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to meet deadlines as well as a high sense of accountability and urgency
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise and well-organized manner
- Willingness to learn as well as proven adaptability and versatility
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Ability to learn quickly and independently
- Data management skills, advanced skillset in Excel
- Technological skills, ability to quickly learn new software platforms
- Experience with AppFolio
- Property Management experience
Benefits and Salary
The position is full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm and salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The property management company compensation package includes a base salary with medical, dental and vision plans available, as well as 401(k), and life insurance.
