Responsibilities may include:
• Complete inventory cycle including but not limited to:
o Calculating landed cost of goods received.
o Calculating and allocating the freight and duty charges.
o Calculating repair reserve and returns accrual.
o Calculating excess and obsolete inventory.
o Preparing Inventory schedules.
o Month end reconciliation of detail inventory to General Ledger.
o Enter inventory factory invoices into Accounts Payable system.
• Calculating reserve for co-op advertising allowances.
• Calculate, prepare, and file sales and use tax returns.
• Assist Accounts Receivable as needed.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial closings.
Requirements:
Excellent analytical skills, computer skills, and self-motivation are required for success.
• Strong math skills that include the ability to calculate percentages and apply them.
• Ability to navigate websites to download data from bank accounts and customer portals.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting; debits and credits and financial statement balances.
• Strong computer skills with Excel skills for data manipulation (including vlookup, pivot table, functions).
• College degree preferably in accounting.
• ERP system experience, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
• Retail experience a plus.

This job operates in a professional office environment.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands are that of an office environment and include mostly sitting.
Position Type/Hours:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with flexible work schedule confirmed with manager; Singing Machine’s general office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Travel:
There is no travel for this position.
This is an exempt position reporting to the General Accounting Manager.
