Are you a finance professional who wants a role with real-world impact? As a Financial Manager at Clorox, you will lead meaningful analysis that will help drive business decisions. The Business Unit Finance team is responsible for driving all financial activities for your respective business unit. We are cross-functional business partners that are obsessed with balancing consumer, customer, and company needs as we make financial decisions to grow the business.
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for bringing strong financial leadership and insights to functional and business unit leaders around new product commercialization, long-range planning, and other business critical decision support. You will be a thought leader for the business working closely with cross-functional partners and BU leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
· Play a key leadership role in driving growth for the Clorox Professional business by partnering with project teams to develop pro-forma P&L projections and DCF valuations for new product launches and adjacency expansion opportunities.
· Lead the annual Outlook and Long Range Planning process (LRP) by working with Business unit leadership team to develop sound planning assumptions and analysis.
· Provide ad-hoc and analytical decision support for the business by leading the annual Pricing P&L’s process, evaluating product customization requests, and performing cost savings and capital investment analysis.
· Own the evaluation and modeling of pricing changes, new product pricing and system set up of pricing within the workflow process and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
· Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying, championing and driving process improvement and participating in Learning and Development programs.
· Partner with Cost and Forecast teams to ensure consistency between financials analysis and current operational plans.
What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:
· 6+ years of professional work experience in finance and accounting
· Prior experience with financial valuation techniques
· SAP or other ERP systems experience highly desirable
· CPG industry and/or manufacturing environment experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams
· Experience in interpreting accounting principles and incorporating learnings into project financials
· Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships
· Ability to take personal ownership of project tasks and ensure timely resolution of issues
· Strong excel modeling capabilities highly desirable
Education Level/Degree:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics; MBA or CPA a plus
