Our Client is looking for an AP Manager to oversee the day-to-day AP function of the business on a multi-site scale. The AP Manager should be an organized and self-directed team member with excellent communication skills. As our business is continually evolving, the ideal candidate should be able comfortable with change management and be able to adapt to changes in responsibilities.

responsibilities:
- Work with the Corporate Controller to develop and manage a high performing accounts payable team with local and remote team members. Consistently provide a high level of customer service.
- Oversee timely processing of accounts payable transactions using industry best practices to ensure proper approvals and proper recording of expenses.
- Manage payment transactions using wire transfers, ACHs, checks (paper and bank generated), and credit cards. Understand and use bank system to send positive pay file, research checks status and stop payments as needed.
- Set up new suppliers. Maintain W-9 documentation and accurately process 1099s. Set up international suppliers and maintain W-8 BEN documentation, ensuring accurate and timely tax withholding and 1042s are transmitted to the IRS.
- Prepare/Review month end accrual journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Understand the capabilities of multiple ERP systems and determine how to best utilize systems for efficient AP processes. Identify and implement efficiency tools such work flow processes.
- Identify and segregate intercompany charges. Ensure proper and timely processing and intercompany accounting.
- Establish and monitor trends in AP, such as AP aging, DPO and processing rates.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Provide support and documentation for audits.
- 1099’s.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree, preferably in related field.
- 5 years or more of related experience in Accounts Payable management and management of teams.
