Marketing Assistant

Minneapolis, MN

System One is currently seeking a Marketing Assistant on a 6-month contract position located in Minneapolis, MN.

This position will be with our client, a utility holding company serving more than 3.3 million electric customers and 1.8 million natural gas customers.

Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:

• Support processes and customer support and communications to deliver voluntary renewable energy programs to company customers
• Work directly to support customers and solar installers via email, phone and exceptional attention to detail
• Perform operational processes
• 10% marketing and customer experience tools; 90% program delivery to help customer meet their renewable goals
• Supports marketing, sales, and creative teams in the development and execution of promotional programs including brochures, sales sheets, direct mail, advertising, and web content
• Performs basic research and prepare documents and other marketing materials
• Provides logistical support through planning, scheduling and coordination
• Helps with task administration, ensuring requests are submitted, tracked and shipped in a timely manner
• Assists with or drives marketing projects as needed
• Ensure the highest level of quality is achieved within deadline
• Typical day: Responding to customer inquiries within the program inbox, approving applications and application documents, pulling task reports, tackling special on-going projects (i.e., website improvements, Renewable Choice marketing)

Marketing Assistant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• This role will be remote until offices reopen, and once the offices reopen over Labor Day, our team will continue with the Hybrid Work Model
• Knowledge of the company and the Renewables programs, tenacity and ability to follow-through, attention to detail, familiarity with customer centricity (among others) (preferred)
• Utilities experience (preferred)
• Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills (required)
• Excitement for the specific role, demonstrate ability to learn quickly with little assistance, go-getter personality (preferred)
• Team culture – Our team is made up of multiple renewable programs throughout multiple states, however, we share a common goal and value meeting altogether as a group to bounce around ideas and help each other
• The immediate team (Minnesota Solar*Rewards and DER Interconnections) is a team of 3-4 people, and we all work closely together to maintain customer/solar installer satisfaction
• While everyone can sometimes be heads down in their work, we can all benefit from the work of the other and always strive to help each other
• Local candidates (preferred)

Duration: 6-months

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Pay Rate : $18.33/hr.
