This role will manage key attributes of Synchrony’s client contracts and oversee the proper accounting related to various Program Incentives and ensuring that all contractual deadlines are met. In addition, this role will manage the monthly Close for process specific tasks. This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home.
On occasion we may request that you commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training, and culture events. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility Essential Responsibilities:* + Ensure all Client Billing obligations are fulfilled per process CTQ’s.
+ Manage monthly close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries, balance sheet and P&L analysis, account reconciliations and other required tasks. + Provide guidance to US and Asia team in resolving issues related to preparing and delivering Client Invoices. + Review, interpretation and implementation of new client contracts and amendments.
Determine necessary accounting requirements in partnership with Client Accounting Process owner. + Review retailer incentives to ensure compliance with client program agreements. + Review and approve retailer payments.
+ Support account reconciliation process as needed. + Develop and maintain dashboard metrics to monitor controllership and workload balance. + Maintain a thorough understanding and documentation of wing-to-wing business processes, including transaction flow, key systems and activity sources for processes owned by Client Accounting.
+ Ensure process documentation is accurate and comprehensive including, but not limited to job aids and process flows. + Deliver business productivity and controllership by driving process improvements, simplification and automation across processes. + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements:* + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business area + 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.

+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post.

The salary range for this position is.75,000.00 – 150,000.00* USD Annual Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible Grade/Level: 11* Job Family Group: Finance.
