SHC’s BUILD Your Future program provides a structured, systematic clinical support and career development program for Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows. SHC’s BUILD program offers a professional network and mentorships to help you overcome challenges and roadblocks while developing confidence and direction in your professional growth.

SLP Clinical Fellow Contract Details:
– $36-$38 an hour
– Hours per week: 37.5
– Start Date: ASAP
– End Date: 05/31/2024
– Location: In-person
– Bonus: 3k sign on bonus for new SHC employees.
– Details: Remainder of the School Year
– Options to renew, transition to full-time, or try a new setting at the end of each contract
– Flexible schedules within school bell hours
– Could be working with students who have difficulty swallowing, or students with communication disorders
– SLP will work with students to assess, screen, evaluate, and share results with parents and the school interdisciplinary team
– SLP will develop and implement IEPs for students while reviewing goals and objectives to make recommendations for appropriate care plans
– Will be expected to establish a positive learning environment while providing response to intervention for the needs of each student

Requirements:
– Master’s degree in education or equivalent experience with a bachelor’s degree
– Texas SLP License
– American Heart Association BLS
– ASHA Certification
– No prior experience is required
