Summary:
Responsible for the management and revenue recognition processes, policy and reporting for Suddath Workplace Solutions and Suddath Office Furniture to include all local business line branch revenue and billing for these services lines, which also include local commercial, local logistics and hospitality service lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly revenue and cost of revenue close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, reporting) and maintain revenue and cost of revenue metrics reports and reconciliations
Create and distribute daily, weekly and monthly metrics to staff and management
Own the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of the order to cash process
Formalize revenue recognition policies and procedures; communicate with the appropriate parties to ensure compliance
Develop standards for in-process project revenue and cost of revenue matching and recognition
Lead improvement in the invoicing process to improve timeliness and accuracy of the work product; identify areas of opportunity to improve other processes along with managing the implementation of recommended changes
Review existing processes and create standards for new client onboarding to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of invoicing, accounting and reporting
Establish strong relationships with operational leaders to learn the business, ensure their understanding of their responsibilities within the invoicing process and provide training
Supervise staff activities by providing direction and guidance in work assignments and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of tasks
Develop, coach and support the revenue accounting team at the company’s corporate headquarters and remotely to maximize individual and team performance
Work closely with IT to develop standard data collection practices to support automated invoicing processes and development of project management systems
Ensure appropriate levels of documentation on invoicing processes to ensure business continuity
Provide financial liaison leadership for workplace, hospitality, and local commercial business through:
Financial management and reporting support to business line leadership through interaction and collaboration with accounting, financial planning and analysis, and corporate support services.
Revenue capture leadership through development and assurance processes required to completely, accurately, and timely bill and collect for services

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to analyze complex process flows, recommend and implement changes to improve staff efficiencies and overall results
Excellent attention to detail and follow through with ability to take ownership for projects and drive to completion
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers; experience and ability to interact with all levels of management within the organization
Ability to travel 25% of time to work with staff located away from corporate headquarters
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university; Graduate degree preferred; CPA preferred. Minimum 10 years corporate or public accounting experience. Minimum 5 years in significant management position.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and advanced MS Excel
Certificates and Licenses:
CPA preferred
