VP of Finance (Controller)

Freenet Health Corp. an online and mobile healthcare startup looking for a senior-level, results-driven financial control officer to create and manage financial and accounting systems between multiple entities, co-design financial and risk-management strategies, refine and track KPIs, and report performance to management and investors. This role handles the financial and accounting systems of three companies, reports to the CEO, and interacts regularly with a healthcare legal team and an insurance billing and collections team. This position manages a bookkeeper, a billing department, and a tax accountant. Healthcare industry experience is not necessary but desirable. CPA preferred. Experience with structuring stock payments, issuing options, and handling payments in kind is required.

This role translates vision into creative and compliant structures and systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. This position should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, interact with investors, and drive income generation.

This role will roll up the sleeves and work hard with the founding team of officers, and be responsible for approximately $12M in revenue from current business lines telehealth (AskMindi.com) and mobile wound care (Woundlocal) for 2023.

Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)

Relevant experience requirement: minimum of 8 years (start-up experience preferred)

Compensation Range: $13,000 to $20,000 per month

Responsibilities:

· Setup and maintain chart of accounts for multiple companies

· Create intra-company transactions

· Issue stock and convertible notes

· Receive and issue in-kind payments

· Collect and consolidate financial data

· Prepare financial reports for management and investors

· Identify, develop, and monitor KPIs

· Create pro formas and financial projections for VCs and Family Offices

· Be responsible for tax strategy

· Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations

· Coordinate external auditor activity

· Create and track budget performance

· Coordinate procurement activities

· Establish and maintain financial controls

· Manage regulatory reporting
