Position Summary
This Candidate will oversee the daily operations of the business, and will be responsible for the planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing and decision making to attain the desired profitability for the Company. The candidate will also be the direct support for all other Department Leads (Office, Sales, Maintenance, Transportation & Safety). The Candidate will work directly with the Upper Management Team for final decision making. Compensation will be discussed and negotiated during the interview process. This position is not considered to be an 8 to 5 or M-Fri position.
Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years Civil Dirt Work Experience Required
3 to 5 years Operation Management Experience Required
Business Management Degree Preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leadership Skills Required for this position, Candidate must have ability to Motivate, have strong Communication skills (Written/Verbal), Organizational skills, Time Management & Problem-Solving skills & proficient Computer skills.
· Understanding of Profit & Loss statements
· Previous Experience with setting/managing Budgets.
· Work with Sales Team to ensure projected forecasts are met for company growth.
· Create Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Budgets from/with data provided by Sales Team forecasting.
· Accountability to follow Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Budgeting for each Department.
· Establish/Maintain Safety Goals to meet Standards of Company guidelines.
· Participate in the development of: Establishing, Maintaining & Enforcing Company Policies
· Lead Monthly Business/Safety Meetings
· Meet weekly with Direct Reports/ Department Managers (Office, Sales, Maintenance, Transportation, Safety).
· Comfortable in a fast pace or high-pressure environment
· Must have in-dept knowledge of current business strategy.
· Quarterly /Annual Performance Review of Direct Report Managers
· Ability to share the vision of the Company with employees.
Daily Activities May Include :
· Scheduling Equipment Operators for daily job assignments
· Set daily expectations/goals for workforce.
· Assist Direct Reports with Daily Problem Solving & Direction
· Business Development-Marketing Company’s Product & Service
· Review Daily Invoicing
· Weekly review of Profit/Loss statements
· Assist Direct Report Managers with managing Overtime Costs.
· Monitor/Establish Customer Pricing
· Community Events
· Customer Service
· Review & approval of Daily expenditures.
· Review Employee Performance with Direct Managers
· Establish Pay bands for the hiring of New Employees
