About the role
StockX is hiring an Internal Audit (IA) Manager to support our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, which has been in progress with external advisors over the past two years, as well as lead other regulatory compliance and risk-based operational projects. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of US GAAP and SOX methodologies – risk assessment, control design, and testing strategies. You are a team player who can manage relationships with Internal Audit’s partners including control owners, outsourcing partners, and external auditors. The IA Manager will own the partner relationship with StockX senior leaders and control owners globally and will work with business partners to improve their work processes. The IA Manager will perform advanced-level internal auditing projects, as well as design data-driven audit programs and processes to assess the reliability and efficiency of StockX’s operations.
This role initially will be an individual contributor reporting into the Controller’s organization and can be located in Detroit, Seattle or the San Francisco Bay Area.
What you’ll do
Assist in identifying, evaluating, analyzing, prioritizing, and communicating risks and control improvements associated with StockX’s operations
Manage annual SOX risk assessments – review of control wording and flowcharts, etc. of key internal controls over financial reporting
Assist in SOX audit procedures, including planning, process and risk / control documentation and annual risk assessment
Work with process owners to facilitate walkthroughs, manage requests, advise action items, and confirm risk mapping and control procedures
Identify and evaluate the remediation of control deficiencies
Communicate with external auditors and co-sourcing partners to coordinate audit requests, perform walkthroughs/testing, organize meetings, and evaluate deficiencies as well as providing the auditors with direct assistance in specific areas
Manage and administer the Company’s SOX software – Wdesk, a Workiva product, collaborating with Wdesk support and customer service manager
Identify improvement opportunities and participate in the continuous enhancement of Internal Audit processes
Assist the VP Controller in developing a flexible, risk-based annual audit and assurance plan by understanding risks and trends associated with StockX’s control environment and emerging risks
Drafts Internal Audit reports, present observations, and validate remediation actions and deadlines from management
About you
5+ years in internal audit, SOX, or risk management roles, including 1+ year with managerial responsibilities
Combination of Big 4 and eCommerce experience, preferably in a public company
BS/BA degree in Business Accounting or Finance, or related degree required
One or more relevant professional certifications required (CPA, CIA, CFE)
Wdesk experience is strongly preferred
Adept at building relationships across organizations, at all levels of the Company with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lead projects, as well as participate as a member of a project team
Willingness to challenge current practices, innovate and drive a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to travel periodically

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $160,000 plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
