We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a Finance Manager to join our team. The position can be located in either Paterson or Woodinville, Washington.
What you will do:
Financial Guidance and Process Ownership-
Manage, maintain and monitor the budget and forecasting process working closely with budget owners and planning to drive value from this effort
Work with budget owners to prioritize capital needs and develop long term plans for capital requests. Perform business case analysis to support capital requests.
Work closely with corporate planning and accounting departments to understand deliverables and meet these within timelines
Strategy / Leadership-
Partner with business owners to explore opportunities for efficiency in their areas of responsibility
Manage planning models for scenario analysis with the Chief Supply Officer and the Chief Winemaker
Assess cost saving and productivity initiatives
Analysis-
Develop short and long-term business plans including working to balance supply and processing capacity, capital and manpower requirements
Work with capacity planning on production capacity needs
Estimate vintage product costs based on planned expense and production qualities.
Provide vintage product cost to planning for use in the annual and long-term plan
Maintain the costing model and use it for scenario planning and ad hoc analysis.
Work with viticulture, winemaking and the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) organization to balance grape supply with vintage requirements
Work closely with IBP to ensure the planned retail & wholesale sales are accurately represented in the vintage requirements
Analyze services and develop fees between the joint ventures and Ste Michelle Wine Estates legal entities
Reporting-
Compile and analyze monthly performance reports
Develop and monitor cashflow requirements
Develop key metrics for operations group to describe performance trends and focus on action areas.
Guidance and Direction-
Provide direction to budget managers regarding responsibilities and timelines related to budget and forecast
May require long hours of sitting at a computer
Occasional travel between wineries
What you will bring:
Bachelor Degree with Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.
5+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably with a manufacturing or consumer products company.
Track record of collaboration; able to handle multiple priorities within strict deadlines.
Self-motivated, organized, capable of self-direction but willing to ask for direction when uncertain
Requires professional skepticism with ability to move between detail and big picture.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of functions, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Curiosity about business, eager to share, a contextual story teller and continuous learner
Complete understanding of the budget and forecast cycles, experience with planning software.
Prior work with and understanding of financial statements and their interactions.
Experience with net present value and business case development
Comfort in bringing clarity to ambiguous information.
Demonstrated history in process improvement.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Experience with financial planning software and ERP highly preferred.
CPA, CMA a plus.
