Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day to day activities of the Finance Department along with corporate requirements and reporting for the division.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with various finance, accounting or other special projects
• Assist with internal and external audit as needed
• Prepare accrual and reclass journal entries for monthly close
• Vendor and Employee setup in accounting systems
• Review and prepare general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare and process deposit entries
• Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry
• Help prepare monthly reporting packages
• Record cash receipts
• Record revenue
• Assist in meeting weekly and monthly deadlines
• Handle other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting and finance
• 2+ years’ experience in an accounting role
• Real estate and/or construction experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel Skills, JD Edwards experience and Essbase/Hyperion a plus
