The Starbucks Finance team are hiring for a leader who is energized by continuous improvement, experienced in leading others through change and excited to be part of a high-performing and forward thinking team. The right candidate will need experience in leading process improvement and the technical skills in financial planning, systems and tools. The person in this role will need to have the ability to operationalize planning and forecasting for the FP&A Capabilities Center, for our global G&A planning function.
In this position, you will:
Contribute to Starbucks success by designing standardized end-to-end processes, continuously improving, monitoring performance and governing delivery across FP&A Capabilities Center (CC) for the global G&A planning function.
Gather best practices that can be integrated into the business unit. Lead the design and development of new and improved processes, tools and system enhancements to support business unit requirements.
Identify and provide cross functional leadership for programs and processes for the business unit. Collaborate across functions, data owners/stewards and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across policy, process and data. Optimize opportunities, resolve key issues and identify creative solutions to enhance policies and processes for the business unit portfolio.
Participate in creation of the strategic plan and annual goals in order to achieve customer service requirements of business unit.
Develop and enhance processes and procedures for financial planning and forecasting for G&A spend management. Identify cost and benefit of potential improvements and manage the implementation of improvements. Utilize internal measurements and provide ongoing continuous improvement.
Manage the development and implementation of technology related systems procedures and standards. Collaborate with internal business partners to determine technology and applications to support new processes. Manage the assessment and analysis of overall effectiveness of systems to ensure optimum performance of applications.
Determine and negotiate service levels that are quantifiable and measurable. Alert leadership of potential impacts that would require an adjustment to service level agreements and renegotiate as needed.
Develop appropriate training materials to support the needs of the functional area. Provide direct end-user process and systems training to ensure continued use of standardized process and support roll out new tools and procedures.
We’d love to hear from people with:
relevant experience in FP&A (financial analysis, modeling, budgeting and business planning) with a large corporate enterprise, or equivalent
hands-on experience in Anaplan (or a similar financial planning software)
a desire to work cross-functionally and success in navigating complex matrixed organizations, with project management and cross functional team leadership
an interest in continuous improvement and a growth mindset
