Highlights:
As an Inside Account Generalist, you are a consultative insides sales expert focused on promoting voice, data and video solutions to unworked sales modules. You engage with new and existing clients while driving prospecting effort through extensive account research and developing value propositions. You maximize the sales process by conducting outbound contact processes with the goal of scheduling client discovery appointments. You have a proven track record of over-achieving quotas through cold call prospecting and scheduling and participating in client meetings. You thrive in and office environment serving in a hybrid Account Executive/Account Management role with a quota structure based on direct and overlay sales. You report directly to the Director of Inside Sales for goals, guidance and assistance.

What you will do:
- Encourage company-wide success through active and consistent support of all efforts to simplify and enhance the client experience.
- Be an impactful member of the sales team by achieving a monthly revenue quota, derived from both direct and referred sales, in data, phone and video sales.
- Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity goals by using telephone, electronic and social media based prospecting techniques.
- Understand the business needs of small-to-medium clients to design a telecommunications solution to meet their complex needs.
- Qualify new leads and request site surveys to determine serviceability of prospects, including submission of return on investment (ROI) analysis to sales management.
- Self-generate leads by contacting prospective clients via telephone, e-mail and networking.
- Use a collaborative programmatic campaign approach to pursue specific and targeted call lists.
- Contact existing clients to upsell new business and secure contract renewals.
- Conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with prospective clients to develop client-centric product solutions.
- Entice clients by designing, developing and presenting sales proposals and presentations on product benefits.
- Work with the Sales Managers and new sales team members to ensure timely handoff of opportunities and sold accounts for ongoing management and retention.
- Track all activity, leads and opportunities by managing reports in Salesforce and other enablement tools.
- Collaborate with other business services support groups, including Sales Engineering, Sales Support and Marketing to maximize the sales cycle.
- Improve sales skills by attending all sales meetings and training sessions as required by management
- Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.
Required keys for success:
- Persuasive verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage clients over the phone.
- Working knowledge of computer networking, LAN and WAN technologies, high-capacity and fiber-connected networks.
- Strong networking, negotiation and closing skills.
- History of multitasking efficiently and effectively within required deadlines while working within a team environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills with all levels of an organization.
- How you will stand out from the crowd:
- One or more years of sales experience in business development, sales development, prospecting for new business or software-as-a-service (SaaS) business development.
- Familiar with Salesforce or a similar client relationship management (CRM) program.
Your education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (preferred).
