Smart Eye Care seeks a Director of Finance, an integral leader contributing to the strength, growth, and long-term development of the organization. The Business Manager is directly responsible for all financial systems and functions of the organization and ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. This position will report to the Smart Eye Care’s co-CEOs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Serves as a member of CORE Leadership team.
• Participates in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, policy, direction, operating model, and operational execution.
• Oversees the Finance and Billing Department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function in accordance with all regulation, law, and professional and SEC standards.
• Supervises, mentors, and develops finance and billing staff as appropriate.
• Ensures appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.
• Oversees the organization’s financial accounting systems and functions, maintaining strong internal controls.
• Oversees cash management; approve weekly payables.
• Runs biweekly payroll.
• Oversees investment and asset management.
• Prepares annual budget, monthly financial statements, cash flow statements, and ongoing financial analysis.
• Develops a financial plan consistent with the organization’s strategic programs, goals, and initiatives.
• Assists with negotiations for any vendor, payer, and other finance or administrative related contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION

• Minimum five years’ experience in business management
• Significant experience in accounting
• Experience exercising a high degree of leadership, initiative, judgment
• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, including skill in identifying, analyzing and resolving financial and staff management challenges.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills.
• Experience working with data analysis and information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages and produce financial reports.
• Proficient knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, Excel and general ledger accounting software (Quickbooks).
• Organized, reliable, efficient and effective high level professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent attention to detail skills, ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The following education requirements are considered essential:

• CPA, MBA, or comparable business management degree or experience required.
• Knowledge of the principles of financial management and accounting sufficient to direct staff and coordinate all aspects involved with fiscal requirements.
• Knowledge of financial and budgetary practices to develop annual budget, analyze financial data and patterns, manage AR, and prepare statements.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Salary range is $90,000.00/year – $120,000.00/year, and is commensurate with
experience and qualifications.

Schedule:

• 40hrs/week; Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm. Occasional evening/weekend events.
