We are looking for a creative, detail oriented professional to join our team. Our Payroll Specialist will partner with both the Accounting and HR departments to provide exceptional service to our associates by processing a biweekly payroll for 500 (mostly salaried) associates. Duties will include preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and review of payroll reports to resolve issues pertaining to timekeeping, tax payments, and any garnishment levies. The position can be flexible for a payroll professional who Loves payroll and/or someone with payroll experience who is interested in growing their accounting career. Key
Responsibilities:
Process payroll bi-weekly for 500
employees across multiple states with the assistance of our 3rd party payroll processor
Reconcile benefits
Post, update and reconcile all employee- related payroll deductions
Provide monthly reporting for Accounting and HR
Maintain and review records of sales commissions, variable rate overtime, bonuses and prepare employee stock ownership and 401K reports for audits
Requirements:
5
years of related payroll and/or accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, human resources, or business administration required
Knowledge of payroll and accounting laws and regulations
Ability to work independently and with a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with processing payroll in multiple states
