Rogers Group, Inc. Looking for Financial Analyst at Knoxville, Tennessee Full Time

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our Eastern Tennessee Division, which is based in Knoxville, TN. This position reports to the Area Controller. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, intuitive problem- solving skills and the drive to meet ever evolving organizational needs.

Starting salary from $65,000/year based on experience and education

Responsibilities:

Actively participate in accounting functions of the East Tennessee operations including month-end close, financial analysis, accounts payable, inventory management, and other reporting as required by management
Perform, summarize, and distribute quantitative analysis of weekly reports
Assist in month-end accounting procedures and inventory management
Assist in creation of annual business plan/forecast
Manage/model capital expenditure project requests across all business units
Design and build analysis tools and new reporting as needed using MS Excel and data mining tools
Perform ad hoc analysis as needed by stakeholders throughout the market area.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
Effective communication skills: written and inter-personal
Technical expertise in Microsoft Office suites (especially Excel)
Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
Effective organizational skills to manage a dynamic workload
Business analytics/data mining experience preferred
