Description
Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Key responsibilities
Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Oversee insurance and risk management
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
Requirements – Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
MBA or CPA is preferred
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
