Our reputable client is seeking a VP of Finance & Accounting to join the company. The VP of Finance & Accounting must have an ability to work well with the owners and other senior executives, as well as strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills. Candidates with a combination of Finance, Accounting and IT knowledge are preferred. Responsibilities

• Strategically manage the accounting and finance functions

• Oversee financial systems implementations and upgrades

• Hire, train and retain finance and accounting staff

• Supervise all finance personnel

• Ability to advise about strategy and help the company to double in size

• Have staff comply with state and federal laws and company’s policies

• Recommend improvements to continue the integrity of a company’s financial information

• Examine the organization’s operations and determine if cash flow is appropriate

• Own vendor relationships

• Govern accounting policies, procedures and internal controls

• Preside over independent auditor relationships

• Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements

• Handle investor and investment institution relationships

The ideal candidate for this VP of Finance & Accounting role will have 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting and systems implementations, BS in Accounting or Finance (MBA+), advanced knowledge in data analytics, forecasting, financing, investing, supervisory and acquisitions. Requirements – Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills

• MBA or CPA is preferred

• Extremely detailed and analytical

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

• Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
