Description If you’re a self-starting and detail-oriented individual who is a recent graduate or seeking an opportunity to get into finance, our Invoicing Clerk, may be the job for you! This is a long-term contract/temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Chicago Land Area. Robert Half is partnering with a growing company who is seeking a Invoicing Clerk to join the accounting team. As part of their duties, the Invoicing Clerk will enter and send invoices, resolve customer billing issues, assist in reports, and place billing and collection calls. This position is for candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week. Your responsibilities: – Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers – Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders – Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans – Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and take care of payments in compliance with GAAP – Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers – Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization – Verify documents and codes – Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks Requirements Requirements: – Comprehensive knowledge of 10 Key Skills – AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired – Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy – High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills – Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills – Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
