Robert Half is searching for an ambitious Controller eager to join the team at a reputable Manufacturing company. In this leadership role, you will manage an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. Your responsibilities in this role
Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Requirements – Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Month-end Journal Entries experience
Deep understanding of month end closings
Adeptness in Month-end Reports
Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Budget
Comprehensive knowledge of SAP
Sales tax experience
Month-end Close Activities experience preferred
