The Finance Manager serves as the primary financial officer of the organization and assists with benefit processes for staff. Key roles include: managing all accounting and payroll ensuring that Museum complies with applicable federal and state laws and reporting requirements. In addition, working with the Executive Director to ensure proper financial controls are in place and that the Board of Directors has adequate information to perform their fiscal oversight role. This is a less-than-full-time role with flexible work hours. The Finance Manager reports to the Executive Director.

The Rice Museum sits on 23-acres in rural Washington County, Oregon, and houses a world-class collection of rocks and minerals that is recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. Rate: $25.00 – $35 hr. This position requires 20-30 hours/week with a flexible work schedule that may fluctuate with the financial calendar.
Location: Hybrid. This position is based in Hillsboro, Oregon. Some aspects of this role require time spent at the Museum.
